Weather Update Cold Wave Continue In Delhi And North India Dense Fog Icy Wind


Weather Update 17 January: Northwest India including Delhi, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh is shivering with severe cold. At present, there is no hope of getting relief from the cold for the next two days. Due to the icy winds blowing from the mountains, it is getting extremely cold in the plains. On Monday, the minimum temperature of the season was recorded at 1.4 degree Celsius in Safdarjung, the capital of Delhi.

The condition of cold wave will continue in Delhi on Tuesday also. Visibility remains 600 meters in Delhi. Delhi’s minimum temperature is likely to be recorded at 2.7 and maximum at 18.7.

Along with Delhi, the temperature remained between 1 to 3 degree Celsius in Punjab, Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, North West Madhya Pradesh. Churu in western Rajasthan recorded a minimum temperature of minus 2.5 degrees Celsius.

Cold wave conditions for the next two days
According to the Meteorological Department, the cold will continue on January 17-18. From January 19, it is expected to get some relief.

Cold wave conditions will prevail in Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi till January 18. Cold wave has been predicted to continue in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar from January 17 to 19 and in Madhya Pradesh, Himachal from January 17 to 18.

According to the Meteorological Department, on January 18 and 20, two western disturbances will affect northwestern India. Due to which the cold wave condition in northwestern India is likely to end after January 19. From the night of January 18, a new Western Disturbance may affect the Western Himalayan region. Due to this, there is a possibility of light/moderate/isolated/scattered rains in Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh.
